At 2ND WIND SAILBOARDS you'll find the best tuition available - all our instructors are fully qualified and have had years of experience world-wide.

Beginners Course - 8 hours - $130 inc gst
The course is split into two half days (mornings, when the winds are lighter). You'll be taken through rigging, on-land basics and shallow water practice to sailing confidently on all points of the wind

Courses run weekly from November to April. All equipment is included - just bring water and sunscreen.

Improvers Course - 3 hours - $75 inc gst
Now that you've mastered the basics, it's time to venture out in the stronger winds and build on what you learnt in the early stages

We'll help you improve your stance to get the most out of your board speed, move you further back on the board towards the footstraps (to cope with the increase in wind), speed up your tacks and gybes, introduce you to the harness and get you beach starting.

All of this can be done on our equipment or, if you prefer, on your own. Either way we'll make sure you leave with various techniques to practice in the following weeks.

Advanced Course - 3 hours - $75 inc gst
This course is designed for the sailor who wants to learn to carve gybe, waterstart, improve their stance and fast tack, as well as learn to tune their equipment to maximise its potential.

The course is run in the afternoon seabreezes and equipment can be provided if necessary.

1-2-1 Instruction $120 / 2hrs inc gst
When you're ready to take the next step, it's often specific objectives that the sailor wants to achieve. That's where individual instruction can help you overcome the barriers.

A 2 hourly rate provides you with personal tuition by fully qualified and experienced instructors and focuses on your specific requirements. This can be done on your own equipment or that of the school's.
